About the author:
Tiffini Travis is the Advisor for Information literacy and library instructional assessment at CSU Long Beach. She is responsible for facilitating campus-wide information literacy initiatives and developing strategies for assessing the impact of library instruction on student success. Tiffini joined the nationally recognized ACRL’s Immersion Faculty in 2006 where she spent twelve years teaching librarians how to find their comfort level with teaching students and presenting in public settings.
As an instruction librarian, she teaches an average of 35 instruction sessions per semester and like others, has had to adjust to our new normal. Tiffini has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Masters of Library and Information Science from University of California, Los Angeles.
